The video, filmed in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA in July 2016, shows little Bella barking loudly before jumping into the pool as if she is trying to save her owner.

The filmer later wrote online: "Bella has a fascination with splash water, she just watches the splash and even barks at it.

"When I got into the water she watched me like a hawk."

"My wife noticed when I went under the water she would go nuts and start barking," he continued.

"When I surfaced she would whine until I came to the edge to pet her.

"Based on her reactions, we thought she was afraid the water was hurting me."
