Rare manatees pass by see-through canoe

A beautiful video has emerged from Florida, USA of a group of rare manatees passing close to a canoe.

In the clip, which was filmed at Weeki Wachee River on April 14, the other-worldly creatures glide past the see-through canoe one after another.

Manatees, sometimes known as sea cows, are fully aquatic, mostly herbivorous marine mammals.

All three species of manatee are listed by the World Conservation Union as vulnerable to extinction.
