Port Hope, Ontario: Hazardous radiation measurements
Radioactive Waste Cleanup in Port Hope, Ontario is underway, however, the gamma radiation measurement outside the restricted area is still 10x above the natural "safe" levels.
This video was shot on Apr 14, 2017. All radiation reading were done using a calibrated Gamma-Scout Geiger Counter.
Disclaimer: These measurements solely for the purpose of personal research and any personal attacks will not be tolerated. All raw data is available and will be provided, as needed.
The annual average effective dose from natural background radiation is approximately 1.8 millisieverts (mSv) in Canada and 2.4 mSv worldwide. This equates to 0.20 uSV/hr.
