Cool footage of a sneaky octopus emerging from a conch shell that a snorkeler picked up from the sea bed.

The video, filmed on the Dominican coast, shows the octopus slowly emerge from the shell before making its way back to the sea.

The snorkeler's dog initially tries to nibble at the octopus as it makes its way back to the ocean but the owner quickly tells the animal to "leave it".

The filmer later wrote online: "I found a Conch shell about 15ft down and grabbed it.

"While swimming back to shore I saw a tentacle pop up and decided to see exactly what was in there."

"After shooting this I put him back right where I found him," he continued.

My pregnant wife and I were hanging out at the beach in Dominca, where we went to Ross University. I was snorkeling and she was chilling on the sand with the dogs.
