Driver presses accelerator by mistake and ploughs into police officer
Shocking footage has emerged from China of a driver hitting a police officer at high speed after reportedly pressing the accelerator by mistake.
In the footage, captured in Dandong, Liaoning Province on April 16, the out-of-control car knocks down the police officer who was guiding traffic in the middle of a road.
After hitting the man the car crashed into three vehicles before stopping on the pavement.
According to local news, three people suffered minor injuries including the police officer.
The driver was arrested and the case is under further investigation.
