A stunning clip of recent volcanic activity on Mount Etna in Sicily, including lava flows, eruptions and plumes of smoke and gas.

The clip is made up of footage from March and April 2017.

Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and is in an almost constant state of activity.

Continues to alternate phases the eruptive activity on Mount Etna, began at the end of February when the summit was covered with snow.
In March and early April 2017 produced a variety of wonderful and strong phenomena, from high lava fountains to dense clouds of ash and lava rivers that have overlapped continuously.
After a pause of four days a new eruptive episode started during the morning of April 19, a lava flow began to descend from a vent at the top of Southeast Crater and from the old fracture at the base of southeast crater active since March 2017.
By the morning of 20 April, 2017 eruptive activity had ceased again.
