++CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN LOOPED++ Footage has emerged of a thick cloud of smoke rising from the cancer research unit of Christie Hospital in Manchester, UK on April 26.

According to reports, the centre, which does not house patients, was evacuated.

No injuries were reported.

Around exacty 10.20Am this morning fire broke out at a research centre next to The Christie Hospital.Huge plumes of smoke can be seen billowing from the building, with witnesses reporting seeing flames coming from the roof area.

According to those we spoke with the blaze broke out in the plant room of the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute. The Christie had been evacuated. Several roads surrounding the scene have been shut.They are Cotton Lane, Fog Lane, Wilmslow Road and Palatine Road. The police arrived around 10.42 and set up on oak road.
Its been 2 hours now and the Firemen are still fighting.
Many relatives are on the street trying to have information about their love one in there.
