Dramatic footage has emerged from south London of police officers clashing with masked anti-fascist protesters on Saturday (April 7).

Activists from Unite Against Fascism were protesting against a rally being held by the anti-immigration South East Alliance outside the Lunar House asylum centre in Croydon.

A small group of the anti-fascists wearing black and with their faces covered were seen clashing with officers and at least five people were arrested.

Dramatic footage of violent scuffles and clashes between police and antifascist protesters in Croydon on Saturday afternoon. The demonstrators, largely from the groups United Against Fascism and PCS, were attempting to stop a far right group, the South East Alliance, from marching and protesting on immigration.
