Munsey and Boda playing by the waterfalls in the JP Adler Kodiak Bear Exhibit on July 20th, 2016. The cubs are almost 300 lbs. each. The Alaska Fish and Wildlife Department donated the Kodiak cubs to Wildwood Zoo in October of 2015. The cubs are named after the people that rescued the cubs. Munsey, Boda and their brother Dodge are the only three Kodiak bears living in a zoo habitat outside of Alaska. Wildwood Zoo was gifted these bears because it is a free zoo and offers free educational programs.I've been documenting the growth and development of the bears since they arrived at Wildwood Zoo. I also provide zoo guests with background information about the rescue and development of the cubs.To learn more about the rescue story of Munsey and Boda go to the following linkswww.wendlandtsusan.wordpress.comhttp://visitmarshfield.com/bears/http://mmcebooks.a2hosted.com/2017/04...http://www.toledoblade.com/local/2016...http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?...http://www.13abc.com/content/news/Res...
