Footage of a young girl crying when being surprised by her parents with a new puppy.

The video, filmed in Illinois, USA on March 11, shows Gabby getting emotional when she sees the new puppy for the first time, shortly after her parents had to have the family dog put down.

Her mother told the story online, writing: "After having to put down put our almost 16 year old sweet poodle Molly, our home felt so lonely without her and our daughter Gabby was so sad.

"Her dad took her to see puppies at pet store to make her happy and of course Gabby really wanted a new puppy this particular puppy she fell in love with that day."

"She said she felt like he belonged with us but we told her we couldn't get him at the moment," she continued.

"We decided to surprise her with him but we made her believe that particular puppy had been sold already she was so sad and upset he was gone but when her dad brought him home her reaction was priceless."
