Shocking footage of an "out-of-control" car smashing into the back of a stationary car on the A40 in the UK.

The dashcam video, filmed on May 18 just before the road joins the M40, shows the moment the car swerves to avoid hitting a lorry, and ploughs into the back of the car in front.

According to the filmer, a woman in the back of the car was taken to hospital with "shock" symptoms.

Truck driver of camera vehicle Brian, came to a quick controlled stop. However the car behind following to closely swerved into mental line to avoid collision with rear of truck. Then lost control resulting smashing into stationary vehicle in first lane.

Police and ambulance were called immediately.

Police cleared second line on arrival, first line remained closed. Took statements from all drivers and passengers as well as myself as a witness.

A lady sitting in the back of the stationary car was taking to hospital believed for shock and or neck injury, I hope she recovers.
