Red Arrows 2014

Buy video

A video has been posted online showing the spectacular view from the cockpit of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, during a practice display late last month.

The rare, three minute video gives the viewer an exhilarating insight into the world of the pilots as they perform manoeuvres at speeds of up to 450 mph over RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire.

Flt Lt Stian Walker filmed the video from the position of Reds 5, 6 and 9 on a series of passenger trips during the Red Arrows’ practice for their 50th display season this year.

Flt Lt Walker is not himself a Red Arrow, but an RAF Fast Jet Instructor on the Hawk TMk2 based at RAF Valley in Anglesey, Wales.
