Mad scramble for beers in supermarket during carnival in Salvador, Brazil
When crates of beer went down to 69 cents at a Brazilian hypermarket it was like the craziest episode of supermarket sweep.
Customers swarmed over the cans, cramming their trolleys, throwing them over the heads of other customers and even grabbing them from others when left unguarded.
Within a matter of minutes the beers were gone, and the clean up began for the staff.
It was during the Bahian Carnival in Salvador, Brazil, considered ‘the world’s biggest party, which took place at the end of February.
