Footage of a newborn deer being rescued after it got stuck in a football net in someone's garden.

The video, filmed near Detroit, Michigan, USA on May 31, shows the rescue of the fawn, while the man's partner distracts its angry mother.

The filmer later wrote online: "The noise the baby made was horrible and the mother deer was displeased that we were hurting her baby.

"Mercifully, we were able to free the fawn and reunite it with mommy."

A newborn fawn was stuck in our daughter's soccer goal. The Mother deer would not leave it and was aggressive toward anyone that went near her baby. Luckily I came home and my wife distracted the mother, my daughter grabbed a pair of scissors and I attempted to free the fawn. The noise the baby made was horrible and the mother deer was displeased that we were hurting her baby. Mercifully, we were able to free the fawn and reunite it with mommy.
