Dramatic footage has emerged from China of police shooting dead the wild boar attacking passengers on road.

The video, filmed in Dalian, Liaoning Province on May 27, shows the wild boar running riot on a highway, even ploughing headfirst into a motorcyclist.

Police officers and firefighters can later be seen chasing the animal through a wooded area, before shooting it dead.

Two elderly people were injured during the incident.
