Nine Year Old Daughter Climbs Cathedral Rock in Sedona Arizona.

During Mid-Winter Break in February of 2017 my daughter and I decided to climb Cathedral Rock in Sedona Arizona. She was afraid. No young people had made it this far on that day. Her mom went up first to scout the trail and then I followed closely (and breathlessly) behind her. She was still a bit scared at first but every step seemed to give her more desire to keep going. Pushing her to succeed paid off because we could not keep her off of the rocks and trails for the rest of the trip. This day was overcast--imagine what it was like in the sunlight. The reds and orange of the rocks are amazing.
