Description and Scene

The first and probably most epic lightning storm I seen in awhile. Not so much for the amount of lightning but how the storm moved in relation to me.

It started with 3/4" hail being thrown out of a cell three miles east producing 1.5" hail!
Then the storms west of me push in to the point the shelf cloud came over. Then something strange. The storms pushed back slightly to the north and trained from west to east but stationary north and south riding the warm front apparently. The Storms moved far enough north where I was getting pretty comfortable about my lightning risk. So I started posing for it (done with extreme discretion). But the most amazing thing is that this went on for several hours before finally moving over and through with ironically relatively very little lightning and about 1/2 hour of heavy rains. Cramming this show into a 1 and 1/2 minute timelapse actually blew my mind from a storm condensed from 4 hours into a minute. The dynamics and storm motion becomes clear! The goal of even better quality videos are planned!
