Local children enjoying lagoon release into ocean on a perfect winter day in Australia

A perfect winters day in the southern hemisphere.
Clear blue skies, moderate temperatures and almost no wind.
Footage of local children enjoying the release of water from Terrigal lagoon emptying into the ocean.
Every so often the local council uses a large excavator to open the lagoon so as to flush the water out and reduce flooding conditions.
The resulting water rushing out creates standing waves which the children enjoy surfing on.
Admittedly today's release was quite small and so the flow was not nearly as big as I've seen it in the past.
I was just struck with how perfect the weather conditions were today for a winters day!
