A five-foot long cobra is pulled out of a bird cage after killiing a rooster.

The deadly reptile slithered into the wooden pen during the night for a feast on the poultry.

But after killing the black rooster the cobra was unable to eat it because it was too big.

Homeowner Somsak Promsiri, 73, discovered the shake inside the wooden box the next morning and called the rescue service.

They carefully used a halter to loop a rope around its neck and pull it out into in Chachoengsao, Thailand at the end of June.

Somsak said: ‘’Fortunately I saw the cobra inside before I opened to case to feed the birds or I could have been the unlucky one.’'
