A remarkable video has emerged of a US army veteran getting emotional when he sees colours for the first time.

The footage, captured on June 25 at a home in Cuyahoga County, OH, USA, shows 71-year-old Vincent bursting into tears when he sees the colours of the objects around him with the help of special glasses.

''Vincent was born with a bad case of Red Green Color blind(ness). Our family decided that for his 71st birthday we would buy him a pair of Enchroma glasses,'' the filmer later wrote online.

''His reaction was priceless and for sure inspiring,'' he added.

Vincent Y. is a US Army Veteran. He was born with a bad case of Red Green Color blind. Our family decided that for his 71st birthday we would buy him a pair of glasses designed to help people with color blindness see color fully.
