1st person view Mountain bike tree T-BONE

At the time, I was 40 years old. Stationed with the Army in Fairbanks Alaska and just returned 3 months ago from the war in Afghanistan. While riding with my Army buddies on a rated mountain bike trail, I fell behind coming up the last hill. I tried to catch up on the flats and the down hill, there were small jumps on this portion. I hit one of the jumps, after recontacting the ground, I got the death wobble in the front tire, went off the right side of the trail, and tee boned a tree with my ribs. I was able to slowly ride out the rest of the way as it was flat.
Next day at the emergency room I discovered I had two fractured ribs and a bruised lung. I haven't ridden a bike since.
