Man rescues angry crocodile from irrigation channel

A video has emerged from Swaziland showing a game reserve manager rescuing a Nile crocodile which had become trapped in an irrigation channel.

The rescue is far from easy and the game reserve manager has several near misses.

At one point, as he tries to tie the reptile's snout, it breaks free and thrashes wildly.

Releasing the crocodile proves tricky too as it doesn't want to leave the back of a pick up truck.

Eventually, however, the crocodile slides off the back of the vehicle and into a lake.

"I am sure that there will be plenty criticism of my techniques but this was my first crocodile rescue call out and there wasn’t time to go digging through old Steve Irwin videos," the filmer wrote online.
