Agnieszka Skrzypulec and Irmina Mrózek Gliszczynska were crowned as the 470 Class sailing World Champions at the 2017 World Championships that took place in the period 7-15 July 2017 at the Nautical Club of Thessaloniki, Greece. The Polish sailors justifiably celebrated their achievement, as it was their first World Champions' title. They won the Olympic Champion Hannah Mills GBR with her new crew Eilidh McIntyre GBR. “I can’t describe my feelings. We are World Champions” said Irmina Mrózek Gliszczynska. “ I’m on the verge of bursting into tears. My dream that came true. I can’t believe it.
