A video from Cornwall in the UK of some people having a close encounter with a dolphin.

In the clip, which was filmed on July 16 off the coast near Pentewan, the dolphin appears to enjoy the proximity to the boat and even seems to give them a friendly wave with its tail.

"While out on our rib on a Sunday morning, we spotted a dolphin! We idled towards him, and he came to investigate! He started playing with the boat, swimming under and around us, close enough to touch! We were bailing some water overboard, and he thought we were playing with him so started to splash us back, and roll over under the water!" The filmer wrote online.

He stayed for 20mins, playing with us and swimming along side us! Very friendly and curious. I videod it all on my Go Pro hero5 session - it was the first time I had used it, and took it along to try it out! I'm so glad I did!
