A full-size version of the Great Sphinx of Giza has appeared in a village in Hebei Province, China.

It stands at a staggering 20 metres high and 60 metres long.

Unlike the real thing, which is built from limestone, this replica is made of reinforced concrete and took just 2 months to put up.

According, to the developer, this Chinese sphinx will be used as a tourist attraction and will be available to hire as a film location.
