Rare July Northern lights display from Ireland

Buy video

Last night and this morning I was out as usual hoping for something and especially after seen a small Fireball before midnight.

I checked into the Glendale app when it had reported a good expansion meaning the was a possible chance of seen the Aurora. So I checked my camera and there it was not as bright as the summer month but faint rays moving west to east across the sky and for time a slight green could be seen on the camera on the horizon.

James rowley-hill from the south of England also caught a glimpse of the same display meaning that i wasnt seen thinks and it was indeed the Aurora.

if this had been a month from now it would have been alot bright as the sky to the north would have been a lot darker.

This Aurora was a achievement for me a goal to capture in July as it now means I have seen Aurora on every month of the year and captured it on camera.

with the sky's been so bright over to the north this time of year it is very rare to see a display come through the bright sky's of the north.
