A bizarre clip from China of a fountain spraying out blood-red water.

The strange sight was filmed in Guiyang, Guizhou Province on July 18.

Local media speculated that nearby construction work had caused red silt or dust to flow into the water which supplies the fountain.

Later the same day the water turned clear again.

The footage, captured in Guiyang, Guizhou Province on July 18, shows red water coming out of a fountain in a residential area.

Because the subway was in construction on the upstream, some muds and red rocks might flow into the water.

The colour of the water has turned back to normal in the afternoon on that day.
