An unusual video from China of firemen using a crane to water a tree growing at the top of an ancient Buddhist temple.

Temple workers asked firemen to help when temperatures soared in Huanggang, Hubei Province and the three-metre specimen appeared to wilt.

According to local reports, the tree has been growing on top of the Ming Dynasty pagoda for one hundred years.

The tree is flourishing again after being watered twice daily for several days, according to local reports.

The footage, shot in Huanggang, Hubei Province on July 25, a water gun rising up from a fire engine pumping the water up a tree growing above the top of the pagoda built in Ming Dynasty.

The over three-metre-high tree grew in Qing Dynasty, which is more than 100 years old now.

People in the temple asked help to the firefighters, when they found the tree was withered because of the high temperature.

After watering the tree twice a day for several days, it was back to life again.
