This video contains time-lapse sequences totaling 900 frames shot with my Canon 6D and focal lengths from 35mm to 150mm. Lenses used included Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary, Canon EF 50mm 1.8, and Tokina 17-35mm EX DG.The storms were shot from Mount Laguna (a community in San Diego County, California) and appeared over Palm Springs, Niland, Brawley, Bombay Beach, Joshua Tree National Park, and the Mojave Desert. The reflective body of water seen in some of the sequences is the Salton Sea.I spent two nights shooting epic lightning, sunrises, and sunsets with another photographer Jeff Morris. These sequences are not Photoshopped - the moon was setting to my back and it did an awesome job of artistically lighting up the layers of clouds. Background music is a snippet of "The Dream Of Universe" by Maxim Kornyshev (Максим Корнышев) and is part of the Free Music Archive.
