The 2017 Lonach Highlanders annual march through the beautiful Strathdon area of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Starting in Bellabeg the highlanders, led by retired Police Officer James Mitchell in his vintage original Aberdeen Police uniform, and the Lonach Pipe Band with guest Drum Majors, march through Strathdon to a series of large dwellings, where they receive hospitality, a wee dram, and entertaining stories.

The Lonach Highlanders are members of The Lonach Highland and Friendly Society, made up of men from the Strathdon area of Aberdeenshire, formed in 1823. Most of the men in Lonach are Forbes, although there is a section for the Wallace and Gordon clans, each with their own tartan.
