Indian school children pull risky stunt on bus roof - police probe follows
Greater Noida police are probing an incident in which a group of school-going boys were filmed pulling a life-threatening stunt.
The children, in a school uniform, are seen standing on the roof of a speeding bus just holding each other for support.
In a heart-stopping moment they duck together to dodge overhanging branches of a tree.
The video was filmed by a passenger in a car, who followed the bus, for some distance. They were riding a private transport bus and not a school vehicle.
A media report noted that the children were risking their lives just to look cool.
After the video went viral, Rahul Shrivatsava a senior official of Uttar Pradesh police shared the video with Noida police and directed them to probe the incident.
“Please immediately take cognisance of it and take strict legal action,” he tweeted.
The Noida police said they were tracking down the bus to take further action.
Greater Noida is about 60 kms from Indian capital New Delhi.
