Footage has emerged of a wounded deer wondering around his pen with difficulty before being rescued by Zoological and Culture Park Kinantan officers in Bukittinggi City, Indonesia.

The video shot on Saturday afternoon (September 2) shows the animal going into his shelter with pain.

Later on, the deer is anesthetized by zoo staff members and taken away to be treated.

Animal rescue officer, veterinarian and deer handler of Zoological and Culture Park Kinantan at Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra, Indonesia Saturday afternoon, September 2, 2017 was forced to paralyze a spindly deer in an anesthetized manner.

This action is done to treat a male deer that looks after fighting with other stags while seizing a fawns.

According to the deer handler, the spotted male hounded deer in recent days looks aggressive, probably because it is in a period of lust. Then, on Saturday afternoon, the deer looked wounded and threatened another deer in the cage.

After being shot at his hips, when the drug reaction began to work the deer were experiencing dizziness and staggered around the cage like being drunk.

The longer the anesthetic gets worse. The deer tried his best to get into the cage where he usually sleeps. The harsh endeavor finally made him reach the cage and instantly fainted unconscious.

This opportunity is used by rescue officers and handlers to evacuate the deer directly into the treatment room.

The veterinarian will treat the wound and place the deer in the quarantine cage until the healing process is complete.

Spotted deer with the Latin name Axis axis is one of the species of the Artiodactyla nation originating from the Indian state and spreading. Now found in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Australia, Mauritius, Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and Indonesia.

The spotted deer habitat is in the grasslands of tropical and subtropical climates, but these animals can adapt in habitats in the form of jungle, mountains, and swamps. These animals live in a group way, in each group there are several deer, deer and children.
