Total Solar Eclipse Captured by Drone 2017
I sent my drone aloft 5 minutes before totality phase. As the shadow of the moon raced across the landscape, the temperature dropped noticeably, and darkness overtook us. As I looked at the moon and sun in perfect alignment, my thoughts turned to the Apollo 8 Christmas message when the crew read from the book of Genesis as Earth rose in their view above the lunar surface, going from lunar night to lunar day. To me, that message fit what I was seeing with my own eyes. Enjoy!
