Footage has emerged from southeastern China of a man attempting to destroy a central reservation to shorten his journey while dropping off and picking up the child.

The video, filmed in Foshan city, Guangdong Province, on August 28, shows a man using a hammer to smash the railings in the middle of the road while a child stands beside him.

He was detained for 10 days, according to local media.
