A video has emerged from Wales, UK of a group of canoeists saving a stricken sheep which had fallen into a river.

The footage, captured on August 27 in Wye river, shows one of the men freeing the animal entangled in the weeds.

Then, he pulls the sheep into his canoe and leaves it on a bank nearby.

''Whilst canoeing along the River Wye, one of my fellow paddlers noticed a sheep that had fallen into the river,'' the filmer later wrote online.

''I set about to rescue the stricken animal and I was succesful,'' he added.
