Playing Classical Saluang Music Instrument Rare
A man in Agam district, West Sumatra, Indonesia, Wednesday, September 6, 2017, plays a saluang instrument with a rhythm that has been rarely heard.
The classic song that he brought was to attract the attention of people who are bored waiting for the start of an event.
Saluang is a traditional musical instrument typical of the ethnic Minangkabau, West Sumatra. This wind instrument is made of thin bamboo or talang (Schizostachyum brachycladum Kurz).
The virtue of saluang players is that they can play saluang by blowing and breathing at the same time, so that the saluang blower can play the instrument from the beginning to the end of the song without a break.
