Amusing footage has emerged of a toddler correcting his mum's pronunciation while she reads him a story

The video, captured at a home in Kingston, UK, shows 2-year-old Harrison interrupting his mum after she pronounces bath as 'baff'.

He then corrects her, pointing out that it is 'barf', prompting a hilarious argument between the pair over the correct pronunciation.

"It had me in stitches that a 2 year old was correcting his mother... his mother with a PhD no less," the filmer wrote online.

My 2 year old son Harrison was being read a story by my wife, his mother, and corrected her pronunciation of the word "bath".

Harrison, having learned to talk in the south of England pronounces it "b-a-r-t-h", however my wife pronounces it with no "r".
