Firefighters in Anhui Province, China used cooking oil to free a boy who had become trapped between a pillar and a wall.

Rescuers first cut away the boy's clothes and then applied the oil before successfully lifting him to safety.

According to local media, the boy fell into the gap between the wall and the pillar.

He was not injured seriously in the incident which occurred on September 13, according to local reports.

In the video, captured in Tongling, Anhui Province on September 13, firefighters cut the primary school boy's clothes first and pour the cooking oil in the bowl on his body.

Then, they pull the boy out of the gap successfully in only five minutes.

According to reports, the boy dropped into the gap accidentally during class break.

Fortunately, he was not injured severely.
