Fire breaks out at Glasgow School of Art

Firefighters are tackling a blaze at the Glasgow School of Art after a fire broke out at 12:30 on Friday.

The fire is believed to have been caused by a projector exploding in the basement of the Charles Rennie Mackintosh building.

The Mackintosh building is an A-listed structure situated in the heart of Glasgow and was completed in 1909.
