The footage, captured on September 18 in Florida, shows a woman carrying Rocky the squirrel in her arms and taking it home for recovering.

''After hurricane Irma came through Jacksonville FL my wife and I decided to go explore our neighborhood for damage,'' the filmer later wrote online.

''We discovered a small squirrel badly beaten under a tree and near an overflowed pond.''

''My wife scooped him up and asked me if we could help it. I thought we could so we took him home and dried him out and ordered some squirrel formula from Amazon,'' he added.

Through research and the size of Rocky's teeth we think he was about 5 weeks old when we found him. We plan to make sure he has every chance at a successful life.
