On the footage, you can see the Russian cybercrime suspect, Alexander Vinnik, entering the courthouse at the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki on Friday, September 29, 2017.

Vinnik, 37, wanted in the United States in a $4 billion bitcoin fraud case, denied the charges against him during his appearance at a Greek court to fight an extradition to the United States.

He was arrested while on vacation in Greece on July, 25 and detained pending the extradition hearing. According to the U.S. authorities, he ran digital currency exchange BTC-e, and was allegedly involved in laundering money from criminal proceeds. One of his lawyers, Xanthippi Moysidou said: “He [Vinnik] denies the accusations”.

The lawyer, Ilias Spryrliadis, commented: "We hope that the time at the disposal of the panel of the judges is enough to take account of our arguments”.

The panel of judges will meet again on Wednesday October 4, to announce the decision regarding the U.S. extradition request.
