Myanmar's Nobel peace prize-winning leader Aung San Suu Kyi is set to defend her country's actions of military action against the Rohingya minority as lawful today (December 10).

Claims against the country have been brought to the U.N.’s International Court of Justice by the Gambia who claims the military action was genocide.

In a video filmed on the Naf River on September 25, 2017, Rohingya men and women, some with children, are seen fleeing violence in their Myanmar homeland and entering Bangladesh by boat, some taking with them children and livestock.

Once on land, they can be seen approaching the shore, bringing their livestock of goat and buffalo with them.

According to reports, dozens of people have drowned in the Naf River since the mass exodus of Rohingya began several weeks ago as a result of what the United Nations has described as ethnic cleansing.
