A stunning clip of a dust devil swirling at this year's Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, USA.

The filmer spotted the beautiful whirlwind moving across a dry lake bed on September 2 and approached on his bicycle to capture the natural phenomenon on video.

"I was surprised that it made no sound," he later wrote online.

"It just quietly spun along sweeping up dust from the desert floor," he added.

Burning Man is an annual gathering in which a temporary city is erected approximately one hundred miles north-northeast of Reno.

While riding my bicycle on the open playa (dry lake bed) at Burning Man, a noticed a very tight, concentrated dust devil in the distance. the dust rose to an amazing height. I changed course and rode about 1/2 mile in order to intercept it. I was surprised that it ma.de no sound. It just quietly spun along sweeping up dust from the desert floor. I have examined many dust devil videos, but have not seen one as well defined and concentrated as this one.
