One Note at a Time

Buy video

This is a live looping video with all sounds created on the fly, as heard in the video. I shot it at my parent's house in Cambridgeshire in an evening. My parents are long suffering when it comes to my music and film making - this video must have been particularly gruelling for them to endure as it took many attempts to get right, and while I could hear the whole track in my headphones they could only hear the single notes being plinked, like the drawn out musical noodlings of a madman! I ruined their evening of TV watching, that's for sure.

I originally made this video for a website called DIY.org which is all about encouraging kids to make cool stuff and be awesome. Making stuff is the best thing for your heart and mind, I think everyone should make many things as often as possible!

My name is Simon Panrucker. I'm 28 years old and I live in Bristol. By day I write music and songs for a Cartoon Network show called Clarence. I spend my spare time making my own music, short films, and performing comedy, novelty rap and turbo pop. It is my goal to write and direct a feature film with music as a crucial, exciting part of the narrative.
