Remarkable video has emerged of dozens of cows entering a family's back garden in Montreal.

The footage, captured on October 7, shows the cows wandering outside the house and later entering a neighbour's garden.

''I was playing games with the kids and my daughter said, 'Daddy, I think you should look outside' in a weird way,'' the filmer later wrote online.

''When we looked we noticed a bunch of cows just walking through our backyard and more kept coming.''

The cows ended up walking down to the road and blocking traffic, the filmer added.

''After about an hour of them walking around our yard and the neighbours', they disappeared.''

''Neighbours knew whose cows they were and called the owner to come pick them up,'' he added.

Then walked around for about a 20min before we called the cops. then ended up walking down to the road and blocking traffic. People came to our door thinking it was our cows. after about an hour of them walking around our yard and the neighbors, the disappeared. I think the neighbors knew whos cows they were and called to the owner to come pick them up.
