Footage has emerged of cleaners abseiling down one of China's famous glass-bottom bridges to pick up rubbish at the end of national golden week holidays.

The video, filmed in Zhangjiajie city in northwestern Hunan Province on October 8, shows a man abseiling down from a 1,400-metre-high glass bridge to pick up rubbish from the cliff face.

According to local news, four professional cleaners were sent to clean up as the national holiday came to an end.

The cleaning work would last for a month, local reports said.
