Ryanair queue from cancelled flight

Our flight was cancelled by Ryanair on Tuesday as we sat at the gate, ten minutes before we were due to leave due to the French air strike with no notice to customers. We were told to return to the terminal and join a queue of hundreds of people. Airport staff told us to leave the queue and change the flights ourselves through their site, however they had NOTHING until Wednesday 18th. We queued for over five hours to try and get this sorted before finding our own replacement accommodation and spending nearly £1000 on new flights with another company for three days later. Ryanair have done nothing to help us at all and we have to now wait to see if we will get any compensation and our additional expenses back
