How would British women react to the questions normally reserved only for transgender women? That was the starting point for this short social experiment video made by transgender theatre maker and performer Kate O'Donnell.

In the clip, O'Donnell stops unsuspecting members of the public at a Manchester shopping centre and asks them the sorts of questions she faces all the time, everything from "Do you think you pass as a woman?" to "Which toilet do you use?"

Their confusion is frequently very funny, but also poses the serious question of whether O'Donnell and others like her should have to answer these questions any more often than those she interviews in the shopping centre.
