Steam locomotive with E 10 60 series made by Hartmann Chemnitz Germany in 1865 was once one of the locomotives of coal transporters to take out from kota Sawahlunto.

This is the only functioning steam locomotive available in Sawahlunto. The engine still uses fuel from coal.

Before running must be heated first by entering coal into the combustion. To reach steam the heat takes 4 hours of heating time before running, or when the temperature pointer reaches 4.

The maintenance of this locomotive is always maintained on an ongoing basis in order to remain operational for Sawahlunto Tourism Sustainability.

Prior to operating as one of the tourist transportation, it was brought for repairs in 1997 and only completed in 2009.
