Cyclist confronts angry motorist driving on pavement

Footage has emerged of a motorist getting out of his car to shout at a cyclist who wouldn't let him drive on the pavement.

The video, shot in Surbiton, UK on October 24, shows the cyclist confronting the driver as he is about to drive on the pavement to avoid a diversion.

The driver can be heard justifying his action by saying: "There are a lot of people driving on the pavement."

A local resident then joins the argument, explaining that she is worried about her children using the pavement as motorists use it as a shortcut.

The cyclist eventually uses barriers to block the pavement and prevent any drivers to use it, forcing them to turn around.

According to the cyclist, the road was closed for a week due to Thames Water repairs.
